Programs

Border City Sports and Events seek to operate and support existing programs for local youth focusing on their overall health.  Our goal is to develop, implement and/or support the following type of programming:

 

GET MOVING!

Children exercise through sports and play while learning the importance of a healthy lifestyle for their lifetime.  Team sports help to develop skills of sharing, working together and following directions.  These are skills they will continue to use into adulthood.

 HEALTHY EATING

Students learn how fun and tasty healthy eating can be.  They will learn nutritional values, food groups and how to build healthy meals and snacks.

 AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Youth are able to have a safe, productive environment while their parents are at work.  This encompasses a broad range of focus areas including academic support, mentoring, sports and recreation.
